Job Description
About Role:
StockTicker is hiring for the role of Software Development Engineer Intern!
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient software solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality and best practices.
- Assist in debugging and troubleshooting issues across the development lifecycle.
- Work on new feature development, testing, and integration with existing systems.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies to propose innovative solutions.
- Development & Coding:
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code under the supervision of senior developers.
- Implement assigned features and fix bugs as part of the project roadmap.
- Testing & Debugging:
- Develop unit and integration tests to ensure code robustness.
- Identify and resolve software bugs and performance issues.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including design, product, and QA.
- Communicate effectively with team members to share progress and seek assistance when needed.
- Learning & Contribution:
- Take ownership of small projects or components, showing initiative and accountability.
- Continuously enhance skills by learning new programming languages, frameworks, or tools as required by the team.
Requirements:
- Educational Background:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C++.
- Basic understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Experience with web development frameworks or databases is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Others:
- Availability for a full-time internship for the specified duration.
- A proactive attitude toward learning and contributing to projects.
