Job Description

About Role:

StockTicker is hiring for the role of Software Development Engineer Intern!

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient software solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality and best practices.
• Assist in debugging and troubleshooting issues across the development lifecycle.
• Work on new feature development, testing, and integration with existing systems.
• Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies to propose innovative solutions.
• Development & Coding:
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code under the supervision of senior developers.
  • Implement assigned features and fix bugs as part of the project roadmap.
• Testing & Debugging:
  • Develop unit and integration tests to ensure code robustness.
  • Identify and resolve software bugs and performance issues.
• Collaboration:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including design, product, and QA.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to share progress and seek assistance when needed.
• Learning & Contribution:
  • Take ownership of small projects or components, showing initiative and accountability.
  • Continuously enhance skills by learning new programming languages, frameworks, or tools as required by the team.

Requirements:

• Educational Background:
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C++.
  • Basic understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Experience with web development frameworks or databases is a plus.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Others:
  • Availability for a full-time internship for the specified duration.
  • A proactive attitude toward learning and contributing to projects.
