Job Description
About Role:
We are looking for a motivated Java Developer Fresher to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn and work with Java to develop efficient and scalable software solutions in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Write clean and maintainable Java code.
- Assist in the development and testing of applications.
- Collaborate with team members to solve technical challenges.
- Continuously learn and apply Java development best practices.
Qualifications
- Educational Requirements:
- Students graduating in 2025 with the following degrees are eligible:
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)
- Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.)
- Master of Engineering (M.E.)
- Master of Technology (M.Tech.)
- Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
- Applicable streams include Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Computer Science Engineering.
- Students graduating in 2025 with the following degrees are eligible:
- Academic Criteria:
- Consistent academic performance with at least 60% throughout studies.
- No backlogs at the time of application.
- Other Requirements:
- Citizenship/Residency: Candidates must hold United States, United Kingdom, or Canada citizenship, passport, or permanent residency.
- Relocation: Willingness to relocate to the United States, United Kingdom, or Canada after training.
- Skillset:
- Good understanding of core Java concepts.
- Basic knowledge of databases and version control tools (preferred).
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team and a willingness to learn.
Additional Opportunities
- Shortlisted candidates will be provided with an internship opportunity during their final semester.
- Candidates must sign a two-year service agreement upon joining Virtusa. A one-year waiver will be provided if the candidate pursues higher studies.
